The Enterprise Systems Education for Africa (ESEFA) programme, based in the Department of Information Systems at the University of Cape Town, advances enterprise systems education across Sub-Saharan Africa. Established in 2013 through a partnership between UCT, Otto-von-Guericke University Magdeburg in Germany and SAP, the programme works with universities across the region to strengthen teaching capacity and develop skills in Enterprise Systems and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP). ESEFA combines business process knowledge with practical experience of SAP software, covering procurement, accounting, sales, inventory management and business process integration. The programme provides training for lecturers to deliver its curriculum and offers short courses and examinations to students.
