About the course

The Adolescent Health Implementation (AHI) short course aims to train research and implementation staff in southern Africa's government departments, non-governmental organizations, and research institutions. It also aims to promote the understanding of implementation science and its values and build the capacity to implement proven interventions more effectively. Note: The AHI short course replaces the previous Adolescent and Youth Health Policy (AYHP) short course.

Course Content

Each week of the course, participants must complete assigned pre-readings and watch three pre-recorded presentations of approximately 20 minutes each before the live weekly discussion sessions.

  • ART, weight gain and treatment adherence

  • Gender-based violence among adolescents

Registration

Entry requirements: Post-matriculation qualification. Relevant post-matriculation qualification in the field of Public Health. E.g. BCurNursing, BSc Social Science, MBCHB, Public Health.
