About the course

This applied short course builds on the Fundamentals of Behaviour Change programme and focuses on how behavioural science principles can be applied to health systems and community health practice.

Participants will learn how and why people make health-related decisions, and how to design interventions, services, and communication strategies that promote adherence, prevention, and trust, while respecting autonomy and context.

The course recognizes the realities of South Africa’s diverse health system, including public-private divides, workforce challenges, and social determinants of health.
