About the course

Hybrid imaging has transformed Nuclear Medicine practice with PET/CT and SPECT/CT now integral to patient care. There remains a significant gap in formal CT education specifically designed for Nuclear Medicine professionals.
The course provides comprehensive education in CT physics, image acquisition, reconstruction, attenuation correction, protocol optimisation, dose management, quality assurance, artefact recognition, clinical applications and ethical and regulatory considerations.
The programme is intended for Nuclear Medicine Radiographers, Nuclear Medicine Physicians, Medical Physicists and Registrars and combines lectures, practical learning, case discussions and formal assessment.
This course aligns with UCT's commitment to lifelong learning and will strengthen CUBIC PET-CT's role in hybrid imaging education.
