Disability Studies in Education

About the course

The course aims to empower educators to reflect critically on their own disability inclusive practices through dialogues within a community of inquiry to promote equity, equal access and dignity for learners with disabilities. Participants will explore the use of Universal Design for Learning within the practices of inclusive education.

• Enabling policies: Supporting teachers/promoting advocacy/support systems for educators (SIAS)

• Disability Rights and Assistive Technology (AT)
• Understanding Intellectual Disability
• Physical impairment, cerebral palsy
• Application and Implementation
