About the course
A part time, 100% online course (that combines live weekly online classes with self-paced non-synchronous learning) on how to organise, market and facilitate film screenings and audience engagements aimed at creating positive social change.
The five-month course teaches participants how to use film as a tool for social change, giving them access to a network of inspiring change makers and introducing them with skilled impact producers. Guest speakers include:
- Gcina Mhlophe, celebrated author, poet, playwright, performer and storyteller;
- Dylan Valley, filmmaker and educator, whose virtual reality film Azibuye premiered at The Sundance Film Festival;
- Anita Khanna, writer and producer of award-winning documentaries such as Miners Shot Down.
