A good presentation informs. A great one engages.
PowerPoint Intermediate is designed for those who already know the basics and want to create presentations that are visually compelling, dynamic and polished.
Across two practical sessions, you'll learn to build and format charts, add SmartArt graphics, set up slide transitions and animate content. You'll also cover how to embed media clips, protect and share presentations, and export your work in multiple formats — so you're ready for any audience and any context.
This course picks up where PowerPoint Essential Skills leaves off. Completion of the Essentials course, or a strong working knowledge of PowerPoint, is recommended before attending.

Course content
- Build, modify and format charts to visualise data effectively
- Add and customise SmartArt graphics to communicate concepts visually
- Set up slide transitions and animate content for maximum impact
- Embed audio and video media clips into presentations
- Work with comments and incorporate reviewer changes
- Protect presentations and prepare them for distribution
- Export and save presentations in multiple formats
- Rehearse, record and deliver presentations with confidence
Certification
On successful completion of this course, participants receive a UCT ICTS Certificate of Completion. Attendance at both sessions is required.
