Navigating Research Writing

About the course

Navigating Research Writing is open to all postgraduate or prospective students and researchers. During the course we aim to help you:

• Understand and articulate your research in an exploratory written prodcut of your choice (concept note, porposal or literature review)
• Develop a research identity in dialogue with an exciting group of experienced researchers
• Learn how to make use of databases in the library
• Make arguments and sustain a strong writers' voice
• Complete online writing tasks to reflect on your research experiences.

These taks prompt you to rehearse or revisit ideas towards your final submission. Course facilitators will provide feedback on these products.

You will also have an opportunity to join a Just Write session daily.

• Day 3 & 4: Writing & Knowledge-Making
• Day 5 & 6: Reading
• Day 7 & 8: Navigating
