General English Semi-Intensive (GE25)

About the course

The Semi-Intensive course offers a balance between focused English study and time to experience Cape Town. With 25 lessons per week, you’ll develop your English language skills and confidence while still having free time to explore the city and practise your English outside the classroom.

You will study the systems of grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation and discourse, and the skills of reading, writing, listening and speaking. In the afternoons you can choose to focus on the language skills you need to improve most: Listening and Speaking or Reading & Writing. The General English course is taught over six levels: beginner, elementary, pre-intermediate, intermediate, upper intermediate and advanced.

Course content

The course combines GE20 every day in the morning with afternoon electives twice a week.

Registration

This course is offered by UCT English Language Centre (ELC). Enrol and pay directly with the course provider. Once the booking is submitted, ELC will provide the information needed to confirm enrolment.
