Language Excursions

About the course

Language Excursions combine English lessons with guided experiences around Cape Town, giving students the opportunity to practise their English in real-world settings. Students engage with local people, culture and communities while developing their fluency and confidence with the support of an ELC teacher. The programme combines morning English classes with Language Excursions on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday afternoons.

Level dependent - you can choose between Business / Academic / General English or IELTS preparation in the morning.

Course content

Students develop practical speaking, listening and communication skills through classroom learning and guided excursions. Excursion themes may include Cape Town’s art, food, music, history, culture and sustainability, with opportunities to interact with local people and use English in authentic situations.

Registration

This course is offered by UCT English Language Centre (ELC). Enrol and pay directly with the course provider. Once the booking is submitted, ELC will provide the information needed to confirm enrolment.
